B&B Delfshaven is located on one of the longest shopping streets of Europe. From B&B Delfshaven it’s an almost three kilometres walk to the Coolsingel, in the heart of the city. En route you'll pass numerous shops, from simple neighbourhood supers to chic antique dealers and trendy coffee shops. You will pass all kinds of restaurants and other eateries.
Also around the corner from the B&B, in historic Delfshaven, you can find various places of excellent eating. In that historic Delfshaven, with Rotterdam’s only canals, there are old monuments, such as the Zakkendragershuisje (the guild hall of bag carriers) and the Pilgrimfathers church. Elsewhere in Rotterdam-West you can unexpectedly encounter beautiful architectural monuments, mostly of the pre-war Modernist Style, such as the Unesco World Heritage site of the Van Nelle factory.
Almost as beautiful is the restored 1932 Hakagebouw in the Vierhavensstraat opposite the recently landscaped Dakpark (Roof Park) located partly on a shopping mall.
For cyclists there are beautiful cycling routes, along the old and new harbours or the Dutch country side.
